Reptarium mesh enclosures.

While not suitable for all animals or situations the list of advantages over the more conventional enclosures in use in Australia is quite substantial.

	Mesh enclosures allow free air movement
	Mesh enclosures allow direct passage of sunlight (glass filters out UV)
	Mesh enclosures are light and portable
	Mesh enclosures are relatively cheap
	Mesh enclosures can be folded for transport and storage

The Reptarium's mesh enclosures have been in use in the US for a number of years and recently been trialed in Australia with great success. They have been trialed on Shinglebacks, many small and medium sized skinks, Diamond Pythons and a number of geckos. There are many advantages the Reptarium mesh enclosures have.

	Reptarium enclosures are fully machine washable. (The cover can go in the washing machine and the frame can be disassembled and washed in a dish washer. This method of washing will completely irradicate mites and mite eggs from the enclosure!)
	Reptarium enclosures are heat resistant. Light fittings including basking lamps and UV sources can be placed directly on the mesh. This has been tested in Australia with a 150watt zoo med clamp lamp (also available through the HerpShop™
	Reptarium enclosure covers are reinforced nylon, which is stronger than aluminium, fibreglass and cloth. Reinforced nylon is non-abrasive and is less likely to cause nose rub damage. The meshing is uniform and does not stretch under normal reptile usage. The mesh cannot be eaten through by crickets.
	Reptarium enclosures are strong. The ABS plastic tube forms a very rigid structure designed to take the weight of light and heat reflectors.
	Reptarium enclosures are suitable for both long and short term use. They look great when appropriately furnished and illuminated. They are also perfect for temporary reptile accommodation in the field.
	Reptarium enclosures can be used both horizontally and vertically as is appropriate for the species being housed.
